I changed their names!

A couple weeks ago I popped in and introduced myself and my crazy big family, LOL... I'm sure the names "Kangee" & "Kele" will ring a few bells, as they are not names you hear often...

Well, my boys were not responding to those names quite as well as I had hoped, so I decided to look into new names that would flow well together and get the response I was after. They are now Oliver & Twist, LOL. :wink2:

They took to those names immediately, and they really so seem to fit them, if I do say so myself! :biggrin2:

LOL
funny!
My dog was supossed to be Angus, but he looked and acted so far from an Angus or what I thought the name should say... He became Toffee in a heartbeat :) he was just too sweet for an Angus, lol... no offense to any Sheltie named Angus, tho :)

Very witty choice!! I agree -- sometimes they just have to be renamed. I'm sure Beckon could have remained Lance -- once in a while he looks noble -- but he just seems more like a Beckon to me! or Becker-de-Decker!

Great choice of new names! I tried to change Tully's name to Gidget when she was about 6mths old but it didn't take - she wouldnt answer to 2 names then instead of just one!

like the new names. I changed Justice's name too.

He was born on the 4th of July weekend and his Breeder wanted a patrotic theme. She had named him Independence(Indy). As I had high hopes of him being my first serious obedience dog,I did think that would be a good name.:rolleyes2::winkgrin:

So I change it. Worked for me.

I like your new names best too!!

I haven't really changed Buddy's name--my husband wanted to name him that and considering that he's not much of an animal person, I let it stick.
But when I was house-training Buddy, I started calling him Peabuddy.

He still gets that name sometimes.

Glad the dogs like their new names.

I just remembered that I changed Ember and Diva's names too. Ember was Snoopy because the spots on her back looked like Snoopy's head. :rolleyes2:

Diva was named Lucy. I not sure what the deal was with me getting dogs that were named after Peanuts characters but I thought Lucy was OK but it didn't sure to fit her.:smile2:

I love the new names. Very fitting for a sheltie.

I named Bailey before I even got her. I knew I wanted a sheltie named Bailey. She responded right away to it.

I love the new names! Clever names always are a favorite of mine.

We named our puppy Clover...which quickly became Chloe. The kids and my husband still call her Chloe. I call her Poopina :eek2: For obvious reasons
