I'm HUNGRY!!!

Tuesday, my husband had cataract surgery. The surgery was scheduled for noon, but didn't happen until 3:30. So, we went to get food as soon as it was over. When we got home, I had to deal with some texts and emails to let work know about a change in my schedule for Wednesday. As a result, the dogs were not fed by 7:00- which is their normal time. At 7:10, Clarabelle decided to deal with this injustice on her own. She hopped onto the back of the couch and sat on the back of the couch right behind my head. Then she started to tap the top of my head with her paw until I gave up and got them their food. 10 WHOLE MINUTES LATE HUMAN!!!

Wow...and they say a dog can't tell time huh? With me, at least 30 minutes before supper Riley will start pacing and Piper will tap me in the leg with his nose to say I WANT MY SUPPER NOW MOM! They're. Rey persistent when they're hungry :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Skylar starts growling at me and licking her chops at about 5:45 every day (dinner time is 6:00). Then around 9:00 she always thinks it's time for her second dinner (and to be clear, she has never, ever, even once in her life, received a second dinner. I'm not sure why she thinks one is coming her way).

That's adorable, lol! Finn has decided to crawl on me, & lay in my lap, until I ask "what are you so snuggly for?" To which he clacks* at me, jumps up, and heads towards the kitchen, where he eats, lol.
*We say "clack" because its not a bark...its quiet except you hear his teeth clack together..all his adult teeth are in, and for a minute they seemed too big for his mouth, and that's when the clacks started, lol.

Jaleely, that is exactly what Shelby does! She will look at you and "chatter" her teeth at you. At least a half hour before dinner time.

A few times I filled her bowl when DH had her outside, then she would be surprised by a bowl of dog food. Now every time she comes in the house she runs right to her bowl looking for food. I didn't even do it very many times. And if she is outside around dinner time she stands at the door begging to come in the house.

They really are very smart pups that definitely know how to get what they want.

Layla will stare at me and lick her lips when she's hungry. Bits pokes you with her nose -- and what a nose! Annie Laurie used to stand up and bark in the middle of the family room "DINNER! I WANT DINNER It'S DINNER TIME FEED ME NOW!" She was deaf so she yelled.

I'm cracking up here - so funny and well written, MissyGallant! We get no rest here either, and woe betide us if we take our afternoon walk a bit early, it seems to re-set their tummy alarms. "OK WE WALKED, NOW IT'S TIME TO EAT!!". Brooke is a big one for nose pokes, and both girls just swirl around our feet so you can't really take a step. :rolleyes2: Our long time petsitter asked us recently, "How late do you feed them usually? They make me do it around 4 PM!" She was a bit chagrined when I said "Not before 6 PM!!!"
