Tuesday, my husband had cataract surgery. The surgery was scheduled for noon, but didn't happen until 3:30. So, we went to get food as soon as it was over. When we got home, I had to deal with some texts and emails to let work know about a change in my schedule for Wednesday. As a result, the dogs were not fed by 7:00- which is their normal time. At 7:10, Clarabelle decided to deal with this injustice on her own. She hopped onto the back of the couch and sat on the back of the couch right behind my head. Then she started to tap the top of my head with her paw until I gave up and got them their food. 10 WHOLE MINUTES LATE HUMAN!!!

Our long time petsitter asked us recently, "How late do you feed them usually? They make me do it around 4 PM!" She was a bit chagrined when I said "Not before 6 PM!!!"
