Jocu- senior? seizures?

Oh geez. I'm so sorry he's sick!

What do the seizures look like if you don't mind me asking. How do they test for one. Rod thought Koko had one, but have no clue what it looks like.

no actual test for seizures that I know of- there are some conditions that they can test for that might show in bloodwork or other tests.....

Poor guy, I was going to suggest also making sure he did not have something out of joint but the motion looks all wrong for that. Hope he gets to 100% and gets your worry to the normal level of concern.

Oh Denise I can just imagine how scary that must’ve been for both of you! Poor guy, must’ve been exhausting for him. I really hope you find the cause and that he never experiences them again!

Seizures are awful to go through with your dog, and horrible to watch. The worst of it is there's nothing you can do, and at least when I went through it with Pixie, it was difficult for vets to find the cause. I hope Jocu's episode was a one-time thing brought on by something he ate. That would be the best possible case.

Yes this is similar to what happened to our kitty during his seizures except his were more violent than that. I'm sorry, Denice - it's so scary when it's happening. I hope it doesn't happen again.

My heart just goes out to you... How scary it is for both of you. Jocu looks totally out of it... Like, what just happened. I wish there was some medication you could use to lessen the severity.

I know in humans it has a profound positive impact on humans and can shorten the length and severity of seizures.

so I checked all around the dog yard- didn't see anything that he could have gotten into......
no new seizures since he got a full day of medication- hoping that he continues to improve
