Update on Frankie - after his Ultrasound: Ultrasound all clear
yay! except for 'sludge' in the gall bladder - which, according to the article that was referenced above, thank you for that, is not uncommon or abnormal, - so bile acid test is being done and will come back on Friday or Saturday to see what may be causing this - still praying for good results.
but Frankie seems to be feeling better at this point - minus a little shyness for a bare tummy
Based on results he may go on Actigal for a month - anyone heard of this - apparently a mild medication for improving bile flow - and continue with the Denamarin for a month - and maybe ongoing. Update to come on blood results - thank you for being there to let me share. Kind of scary when your pup is not well, yes? Wish they would just speak English and help us out!
Oh, one more thing - his original blood tests with the high liver values, also showed high cholesterol. Any thoughts on this? I will discuss with vet when I get bile acids back but wondering if you have had experience with this and where to look for a cause.
