I use a Mason Pearson brush - one of the mixed...
It's not really cheap but really really good!
Mr. Hypersensitive Quilpie likes it, so it must be really gentle

I love the Mars. The Oster is very similar and would work if on a budget.

This link will show the differences between 6 blades and 30 blades. I like the 8 blade. No way would the 30 work.
