That certainly is a plain puppy (and lovely picture!) It's odd because he does appear to have a 'buff' chest in comparison with the white toes and tail tip. He looks very nicely presented so I wouldn't think it was 'dirt', but I would expect a solid sable to be solid all over, not have lighter areas where the white would be
