Sable,
Thanks for our mention about not blaming myself. I'm feeling like a made a huge mistake going to the grain-free, high-protein diet, and did I allow myself to swept up in the hype. And cause damage to my pup as a result.
My breeder stuck to your basic Pro Plan and her pups have done fine, even winning points to their championships. And I decide that my pups are going do better, and look what happens! Yeh, I'm beating myself. Hard not to.

First of all, I'm glad you found a food that you are comfortable with and that Bacca seems to be doing well. We'll all pray that the tests in January show improvement.
Meggie's breeder also feeds Pro Plan. That's what Meggie was on when I got her. The breeder has had many champions dogs over the years and currently as well. I think it's all a matter of preference.
I love the post about the dog who ate pasta and meatballs! That is the arguement I have with my dad daily. It's a hard arguement to win!

My mom used to have a saying when we were growing up, too much of anything isn't good.
