Mama Sheltie and the Sheagles

We picked up Mama and the pups from A.C. yesterday. I decided to start a new thread, since they are adoptable. We took them to the vet and they seem pretty healthy. We guess them to be 5 - 6 weeks. They still try to nurse from Mama, but she's pretty dry. They're eating solid food really well. And are cute as can be. They'll be available for adoption after Feb 5th. If anyone is interested, PM me, and I'll forward you to our web site. If you have questions you can PM me or I can post answers here (if I'm not violating any posting rules).

Here's Mama. Her owners named her Baby. We're calling her Alice (or Baby Alice so she gets used to her name). I'm pleasantly surprised at how friendly and social she is. It's obvious her original owner did love and care for her (just not enough to take her to the vet, get her spayed, and make provisions for her care). I think she'll make a good candidate for agility. She jumps over the baby gate in our guest room (where the puppies are kept). Here's Alice:

Hi Animalia,

Can you provide a link to the rescue website so folks can contact them & complete an application?

You are more than welcome to post links & photos of the puppies as long as they are up for adoption directly via the rescue group.

Here's the link for the Rescue: http://www.ashehumanesociety.org/

The dogs should be added on Thursday (we're only open on Tues, Thur, Fri & Sat -- Sat is adoption day).

We don't have an online adoption application. However, if anyone is interested, they can email or call (email is best) and let our admin know they're interested in adopting. She'll either email an application, or call and do one over the phone.

Alice is about a year old according to A.C. She weighs 16 pounds, and is a bit skinny, but not too bad. She should max out at 18 pounds.

Very cute pups. I take it a sheagle is sheltie x beagle? Interesting combo - wonder what they will turn out like.

oh how cute!
Those poor pups willbe comflicted between running off to sniff everything and staying close to the owner for commands... hahaha herding/hunting genes.
It will be so interesting to see how they turn out!
Alice is a looker!!
