Both Mama and pups are so cute. It is a very strange combination, Sheltie and Beagle! Very different "styles"!

Hey everyone, wanted to give a status update.
Looks like Alice is going to be adopted. Our admin got her posted on Petfinder yesterday (we were closed Thur due to weather), and we received a call and email from an interested party. I had a long conversation with the potential adopter, we completed the vet check and everything sounds great: everything I was pretty much looking for. Now we just have to figure out logistics -- the adopters are in NH. They're planning on flying down, then renting a car to drive her back. I'll be calling them to find out what they want done medically as well -- beyond the normal fecal test and vaccinations, which she has an vet appt to complete on Monday.
As for the pups, they're doing very well. They're almost puppy pad/paper trained, with a few slip ups. They have an vet appt on Friday to get their first set of boosters -- I'll have had them for 11 days, so if they WERE exposed to Parvo at the pound, they would have shown signs of the disease by then. So far, so good. Keep us in your thoughts. We lost one puppy at xmas time due to parvo (and yep, they came from the pound), so there is still a chance they can get it.
We haven't had anybody really shown any interest in them yet. Of course, they were just put online yesterday. Plus, we're having technical difficulties with Petfinder, so the puppies aren't even showing up yet there. When we posted Alice, her pics weren't uploading. Very annoying.
As for how they'll turn out, it'll be interesting. The girls definitely have a stronger scent drive. Oscar and Edith love love love being held. Oscar bays like a Beagle, while Edith and Ursula will bark more -- Ursula is also somewhat of a whiner. Ivan is a hoss -- compared to his siblings -- and is much more laid-back. He's actually DH's favorite, since he isn't as noisy as the rest. I think they'll have a somewhat full coat. It's longer than a Beagle's, but not quite as full as a Sheltie's. Of course, when I got my Gunnar, he didn't have the typical Sheltie puppy coat. I think he looked more like a GSD.

Wanted to let you all know. Alice has been home with her new family for a couple of weeks, and they just LOVE her.
Oscar and Ivan both have new homes. They will each have a little boy to play with. Ursula and Edith are still available. It's weird, Edith is DH's fav and Ursula is mine. Yet these are the ones that are taking longer to adopt out. I've talked to a few potential adopters and they all seem to want boys. Weird.

) I haven't posted any updates because Edie's new family was having some issues with her. Just typical puppy stuff (mouthy, some what excitable, etc.). They had only had her 2 days, so I told them to give her time, and listed Sheltie Nation as a resource, since you guys rock. Plus, a lot of times new adopters feel better when they see other people have the same issues they have. I'm waiting to make sure everyone "takes," before I close this thread.

I was hoping they were adopted, but when I clicked on the last links you posted, it doesn't say that they were adopted. Thanks for the update!
