Monty is coughing/choking almost none stop

Darren, I have not been on SN much lately but Ann told me about your little Monty and I just wanted to add my prayers to everyone else's. Monty is so blessed to have been adopted into such a loving family and I wish with all my heart that he will have many happy years ahead to bask in that love.

Wondering if you have any further updates to share. It has been almost 7 hours since your last post. Being 8:00pm there I was hoping they would have offered you some type of update. Is this a 24/7 vet office? Someone is always there monitoring the patients? I sure hope you get some promising news soon! Fingers and paws crossed that Monty is responding and can come home soon!

THANK YOU everyone, honestly this place has kept my sanity!
Sorry for the lack of updates but I've been trying to distract the girls! The vets is closing again but Monty has RESPONDED to his medication. He is still finding it hard to breathe BUT he is now breathing on his own :yes: He had been put on a ventilator last night so this is amazing progress!
I've been asked to drop off a Mr B in case he can come out of critical care tonight! Oh man, I've been through a lot at times but this has to be the hardest, thankyou so much for the support :smile2:
I've not been sent his bloodwork but told they have it narrowed down to ARDS, a none pulmonary edema (I think I got that right), or a severe allergic reaction. They say the next 24hrs will be crucial so that's me staying awake again. I miss shouting "no Monty" so he better hurry up and start giving me a hard time again.
 
No apologies necessary at all! Just don’t think any of us could sleep tonight until we heard something from you! Thanks a bunch for the update. I bet it is really hard not to show too much of your worries to the girls. Wow, poor guy had to be on a ventilator! I sure hope he feels better when he sees Mr Broccoli and you! It will give him something to fight for!

Thank you!! Honestly, I may have had a tear or two today. This really had caught me off guard. He has been breathing and shouting this afteroon, I told them he'll be shouting because he needs Mr B so they are going to reunite them once he comes out of critical care!

He MUST have something to comfort him! Even if Mr B is in eyesight might help? Ann’s husband suggested! So troubling the won’t help his mental needs...
