My Promise

Welcome Alan and Promise from another Floridian. Cute name and cuter fur baby, you must NEVER resist the urge to post pictures, how else are all the rest of us supposed to ou-u-u and aw-w-w-w over all that perfection? You are in for a lifetime of so much fun, sheltie antics a whole lot of love, a great companion and the best BFF you will ever have. :biggrin2:

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.

OK her name. After a spinal cord injury almost a decade ago I made a promise to myself that I would get another dog, when I thought I could be sure I would be "mobile" enough to give the proper home.

When the time came a friend of mine asked when I was going to keep my "promise". The time came a few years back but I always found an excuse. I thought "Promise" was better than "excuses"...! Lol

I spent 6 months with a friend and his sheltie 3years ago and was always impressed with that dog. When the time came I had a few breeds in mind but kept coming back to the sheltie.

So here I am "gimpy" old guy with fast young dog!

Here she meets the queen of the house for the first time.
You'll notice at that point they wouldn't even look at each other!

Be Big,

I am glad the queen allows you and Promise to live in "her" house.

I had parrots. I know what it is like. :wink2:

LOL, Alan...I totally agree that "Promise" is a MUCH better name that "Excuses"!!

Love all the pics...keep them coming.

Love all the pics - my daughter worked for an architect who had 2 parrots - they are definitely 'interesting' pets.

Looking forward to seeing your Promise grow up in pictures.

Welcome to Sheltie Nation to you, and Promise! My girl will be 4 months old on the 26th, and I've got to say, your promise looks a lot like my Shay!

Great pictures! She's so cute! The tasting the water shot is so funny!

I'm 60 years old, over weight, bad back, bad knees and running agility, because I have 2 fast young dogs......and I'm loving every second of it!!!:wink2:
