They should be closer now. My herding entry form is closer to the traditional form also. The AKCs herding form sucks!

I just saw these items in an email and thought I'd share.
And the last bit, you will be able to move laterally from Regular to Preferred. Which means, no starting over. May not happen Jan 1, but soon.

Well, in reality, the top part of the form is for the clubs to use. What is there is only a suggestion of what the secretaries wanted. So the clubs can do whatever they want. So if they need to add a row or whatever, they can.

The secretaries were provided a Word version of the form so they can modify it.

As to the lateral move from regular to preferred, I have only seen stuff on the secretary lists from Gail. I'm not sure where the "official" language is.

I hope we can find the official language for this because I'm planning on entering a trial in February (the trial opens for entries January 2) to try and finish Edan's AX and AXJ. If I can run him Preferred in that trial without loosing what I've already accomplished I'd be much happier. If not, I'll finish his AX and AXJ in Regular to be safe.

As per the AKC yahoo group, Gail has said there is no official word yet, and it would be Carrie De Young that would make any official statement. That's why I am not sure what "public" is.

I assumed since I saw it on someones page I guessed wrong and said it was public.
