My Chris was sudden too.
Sussie20122,
Sorry to post a year later, but I am now in the same uncharted waters you were. My Sheltie, Chris passed away August 5, 2012 of liver cancer. It was sudden and within 2 days he passed. First he started without eating, but yet drank. He could not keep the water down and vomited every hour. An immediate rush to the vet and an ultrasound confirmed a tumor on his liver. His blood glucose spiked to 548 with diagnosis of Cushing's Disease also. It was so sudden. We just could not let him suffer, so we cried and cried and said goodbye to the best companion a family could ever have. I too wonder what happened and how this progressed so fast? Again, sorry to post so late and your loss, and pray your heart has eased somewhat in time.
