Our little gem..Jasper

Michele - SERIOUSLY cute!! Our girls are incredibly bonded like this... yours are well on their way to a long, beautiful relationship!

I am convinced Shelties know their own kind.

You will probably get many, many comments on this cute pair as the years go by. Even grown men smile at our girls when we are out walking. One is cute but two.... even more so! :smile2:

Bond?
Holy cow there stuck like flies to fly paper! Trapp has done some changing here in the last few days.

The most noticeable one,was he refuses to use his dispenseing ball to eat, that was 3 days ago.He wants to eat here in the kitchen with Jasper. And he has slowed his eating down so considerably,so thats what we're doing.

So we've had to start the "leave it" with Jasper,as he finishes way quicker than Trapp. He's done well.

And the play has changed here with the two. Before, like the first 3-4 days,it was zooming all over, now it's combined with gentle sparring and mouthing.

They are'nt hurting one another, but testing the mouths.Little nudges, and gentle bites. I think they are just so cute these last few days. They are both testing one another.

One zooms, the other follows,or initiates the zoom. Then they both crash for naps.I thought having two so close in age, might give me a few more gray hairs, but so far there are times we don't even notice we have 3 dogs, that's how awesome they are doing.

Thank you,we both appreciate the kind words,we look forward to the day that we can have them both side by side on leads walking together. I think we are going to need to look into a coupler for the two when walking,as we also have Earnhardt~

Hey Michelle, I use a leash that has a hook on each end for Scotty and Toffee works better I feel than a coupler.. I feel I can control the individual dog better...
If I only walk one dog I can adjust the leash length and is half as big... works really well, is leather and feels great, even if they pull

Well now thats quite nice.I like that.

But I can't figure out how much it is,as its in german maybe?
I am going to do another search for one here in US possibly on ebay.Have you bought from this particular seller for yours?
I really like that one though because it is leather.

Honestly, never seen it here in North America :(
I got mine in Germany... if you can't find it next time I go I can mail you one from there :)
It's called a Leader Leash (Fuehrerleine)... so that you can wrap it around your body and have hands free.. but because it has those two hooks, I use it just as a leash for two dogs and love it. If you'd like me to, I can see and translate to see if they ship from there to the US etc...
It was very inexpensive and I also love the fact that it is leather and easy on the hands, especially once it is broken in!

What is the silver ring, how or where does that get used.I assume the dogs are connected using the snap hooks, and it folds in half at the center point, and you hold it in the center.

I am on my way out just now.Need to go to the flower shop and help out with the over 1100 roses that are coming in today. But I will check back in later ok.

Silver ring can be used to hook one end of the leash around your body and fasten at silver rings, that way you can adjust the size around your waist for example.. if you are doing umbilical training. I used to do that when I was doing some Schutzhund protection work, I loop leash around shoulder and brace against it so I could hold 80 pound GSD before letting him off for the bite :)

Toffee does NOT need this, hahahaha, but I loved that type of leash for my previous dogs, so I bought this smaller diameter one for him and ever so glad I did. Happens to also work since I have been walking Scotty :)

Wonder what the roses are for!!!??? Oh, right blech Valentines day, lol

I've seen a leather leash with snaps on both ends- not sure where the person got it but must have been local as he doesn't use the internet :eek2:

Yep Valentines Day! The biggest event to boost sales in a flower shop! I can't believe how high roses are at Valentines day. But it was a job de thorning & taking leaves off roses.

I do really like that leash, and am going to look for one here in the states, unless you happen to make a trip there, then I would send you the money.
