Hi all,
I have not been on the forum for a very long time but here I am again searching for help. Our Mattie who is 8 years old is having issues. Out of the clear blue about 2 weeks ago she started peeing in the house. At first it was just a few times but it quickly escalated to a lot. We took her to the vet who took a urine sample and then we went home to wait for the results. This was Saturday before this one just past. The vet called on Monday to say that the sample was clear. The peeing got worse to the point that we could no longer let Mattie in the house. Thursday of last week out of the clear blue she stopped eating. We took her back to the vet on Saturday. He x-rayed her bladder. It came back clear and then he drew blood for a complete workup. I just got called from our vet to let me know that there is nothing in her blood work to indicate any kind of problem. The vet said it was actually very good. He asked how Mattie was doing. I told him that she is still being kept outside except for at night when she sleeps in her crate. My husband bought a log of Natural Balance. He put a little in her dry food and she started eating again. He said that the only place to go now is to an ultrasound to check for blockages or tumors. She doesn't act sick. She isn't running a fever or losing weight. Does any of this sound familiar to anyone as far as possible causes? Any advice, help, information is appreciated. We are already $400 into tests and the ultrasound is another $400+. I am on disability right now due to surgery so money is a concern as much as I don't want it to be. Thanks in advance.

I don't want them to find a tumor and if they find bladder stones it could very well mean surgery. If they don't find anything then where does that leave us? The peeing has gotten worse and she has lost weight. She is overweight so that wouldn't be such a bad thing if it were under different circumstances. I don't want her to have to stay outside all of the time.
