Vet called, her level is 1.42....
meh. It's low, but not OMG low. Fix the food first, then address the thyroid if that issue still exists after the body heals from the constant infection.

Vet called, her level is 1.42....

Her food is Beneful. She has been on that since takeing her off puppy food. I did switch her this summer to H4 from tractor supply and noticed no difference, or maybe I didnt wait long enough.
Yah still waiting for the vet to call me back with her thyroid level. What is the low range for a sheltie?
Secondly, after having addressed this problem many times with shelties, I would check that her immune system is a ok.
This is the first thing that came to my mind when I read this, the immune system is down. Wellness is a great food for the immune system. I don't have this problem with my shelties, but this is what they eat, and never had any thing go wrong with them.
There are coupons sometimes on line for Wellness.
I have had a good healthy experience with this food. Our very best to you and hopefully it clears up ASAP.
