*Sniff* I love happy endings! And how wonderful he bonded to you so quickly. I got Koko at age 5, and while he was always perfectly behaved, I think he was waiting to go home for a long time.

Congratulations on your new arrival, Gloria. I'm happy that Focus is back where she's comfortable in the environment she knows. It's never good for them to be where they don't fit.
I would not worry about the chipped tooth. Barkley has one and he's 10. It's been chipped for years. It doesn't bother him and my vet also said unless it does we can leave it alone. It's never been an issue.

The vet said it is really hard to remove a canine tooth since it is so large and otherwise healthy!
Fingers crossed that we don't have to remove it!

Sca had one removed but his was cracked not chipped

What was the recovery time? How could you tell the pain was bad?

I simply LOVE the picture where he is on the loveseat with his head on the armrest. It does concern me though that he may not be able to relax. 
Sometimes these little doggies just need the *right* home for it to be a great fit. You are a wonderful sheltie owner. But you weren't Focus' home. She belonged where she started. Baron belongs with YOU. And that is very evident in the pictures. So very happy that you were able to find your tri.

Deska's big molars are cracked and chipped and it's been like that for 5 years or more. Had them x-rayed at his recent dental, the chip is a clean cut and the cracks go sideways, so no nerves involved. Vet prefers to leave them in - why take them out if they aren't bothering him. But he can't have bones anymore (well I did relent for his bday but watched him like a hawk).
