Puppy Food

I am not familiar with that brand's version, but my collie and sheltie have thrived one the blue buffalo version of whitefish and sweet potato....

Anyone have experience with Wellness Simple- Salmon & Potatoe adult food?

I use to feed this to Edan and CJ before I could get Petcurean's in my area. He did pretty well on it and I didn't have any issues with soft stool or explosive diarrhea during the transition. Their coat was nice while on this food.

I switched over to Go mostly because of a lack of trust in the manufacture of US dog foods after a large number of recalls a few years ago, including the widespread Diamond Foods recall. (Petcurean's products are manufactured in Canada.) While the Wellness Simple product was not included in any of the recalls, I just lost faith in the food safety of US companies.

What I currently feed is Petcurean's Go Sensitivity & Shine Salmon and Brown Rice formula.

If I keep having issues FINDING the Go food around here, the delivery to the pet stores is inconsistent since only one distributor carries it and things frequently seem to get hung up by customs (or so I'm told) I may have to consider switching to one of the Fromm foods given the volume of good reviews.

My new puppy's breeder feeds Purina puppy chicken and rice along with cottage cheese and broiled chicken breast. so I will start with that and eventually change her over to a different food. I just have to figure out what. Milo my Eskie eats Merrick now and really seems to love it. He is doing quite well on it too. No more loose poops at all.

Thanks for the replies. I really wanted to feed Bailey Fromms but they all have some type of chicken in it ( Cartlidge, meal or chicken) Go figure the pork has chicken in it & so does the salmon :-0

Anyways I think I will try Wellness Simple & see how it goes.

If money and beef are no object, I am really loving the Acana Ranchlands. Right now we are 1/2 TOTW bison PUPPY version because we had a brand new bag and Acana Ranchlands. The dogs have the best coats ever, the firmest stool, and I am only feeding 1 cup to my 52 pound shep., 2/3 c to plump Melli, and 1/2 c to little Cubbers. The protein is a little bit higher than I prefer but they seem to be really thriving. I have been able to reduce my probiotics to 1x a day instead of 2x and the shepherd is not having any grumbly tummy (so far).

I am liking Acana, but the husband DID say money no object as long as there is no Chinese ingredients. Haven't looked into GO though.
