I don't understand it either, these are poor defensless lives that wouldnt hurt a soul in the world, that just want to be petted and loved. I just wanna cut their throats, sorry to be so graphic.

I was looking at the Pupchannel website again, and one of the "ladies" that is a part of that group used to work with me! I knew she had a kennel, but I had no idea she was a part of that! She raises yorkies (or she used to), and I remember her coming in to work one day saying that she was going to get rid of one of her female yorkies, because she couldn't use it anymore. I thought she was talking about for shows, but it's obvious now what she was talking about. 
I asked her why she was getting rid of it, and she said it wasn't useful to her anymore. If I only knew then what I know now!
What turns these people into these kinds of monsters? Shoving pipes down a dog's throat to keep it quiet, confining it to a cage, and neglecting it? Do these people just wake up evil? Not just the people that mistreat dogs, but people who mistreat all animals in general. How can you keep a dog in a cage all day long and not want to play with it, pet it, or take it places with you?
What goes around comes around, and when it comes back around for these people, I'd sure hate to be in their shoes.

The Texas puppy mill website now says they are closed. 
Thankfully not a lot of puppy mills get by with AKC registration. AKC does sometimes(not all the time unfortunately)check up on the kennels registered under them. Of course not all kennels are registered with the AKC.
Most full blown puppy mill dogs will be CKC registed which is the Continental Kennel Club. Sad to say probably the biggest reason of this is that CKC offers their members FREE puppy litter registration applications. You can even register your dog with them that hasn't/isn't registered with another club as long as two people sign that the dog is full blooded and you send them pictures.
That is so sad about the puppy mill truck raid in MA. It is scary to think of how many of these puppy mills are still in operation as we speak.

I'd also like to note that CKC is also the Canadian Kennel Club, which is the Canadian version of the AKC and DOES NOT offer free registration. I don't want it to be mixed up with the Continental Kennel Club
The reason you probably didn't hear any barking was because these cruel idiots debark the dogs, and not the vet way, (get ready for this) they jam steel rod down the dogs throats to break the vocal cordsThat pisses me off so bad and I feel so bad for these poor animals.
OMG, the thought of someone doing that to a poor defenseless animal makes me want to vomit. It literally brings tears to my eyes.
And to answer the question as to why people would do these terrible things, the answer is easy, GREED. Selfish greed. I too wish the penalties would be stiffer!

At least Texas did upgrade their animal cruelty laws in 2001 making it a possible felony if they abused the dogs...
"Section 42.09 "Cruelty to Livestock Animals" and 42.09(2) "Cruelty of Non-Livestock Animals" of the Texas Penal Code prohibits a person from intentionally, knowingly or recklesly cruelly treating an animal. The following actions define cruel punishment:
Torturing an animal
Failing to provide food, care or shelter
Abandoning an animal
Transporting or confining an animal in a cruel manner
Killing, seriously injuring or poisoning an animal
Causing an animal to fight with another
Using a live animal as a lure in a dog race
Tripping a horse
Injuring an animal belonging to another person
Seriously overworking an animal.
House Bill 653 and Senate Bill 1724, commonly known as “Loco’s Law,” went into effect September 1, 2001, making animal cruelty a felony and punishable by a $10,000 fine and up to two years in jail. The law was named for a puppy called Loco, whose eyes were intentionally gouged out. Prior to Loco’s Law, animal cruelty was not considered a felony under Texas law. Today, animal cruelty convictions are classified as either a felony or misdemeanor."
