Rabbit Run at the National!

Sometimes, depending on the rings, they only have room for so many dogs. So they have to actually divide the class in half. So the first half comes in, gets examined, then the dogs the judge wants to see again get a sticker (making the cut), and everyone is sent out. Then they repeat with the second half. Then they bring in all the dogs with stickers together and make the placements. That way they don't have an unwieldy number of dogs in the ring.
 
Sounds like with the show and weather this one will be a story to tell for years to come :eek2:

Around here you cannot see the tornadoes coming in general. If it instantly clears after torrential downpour that means you need to hide under something immediately as it is here. The ones on the plains sound like you can see them coming.

EDIT: So wouldn't a C mean you made the cut and kept going :confused2:
 
I am so excited my breeder's puppy came in second place in the 9 to 12 month class in the AOAC bitches. I am so happy for her. Can't wait to watch the video.

You're so kind! Rachel is right; it means little Izzy "made the cut" for the judge's final consideration.

Don't worry, we're not disappointed at all - Izzy looked great and we got so many compliments from ringside on her. I'm very proud we made the cut - it was a very competitive, big class. And now Izzy's all done for the week and can get as dirty as she wants! :biggrin2:

You should be proud. With all the storms I'm sure little Izzy can find plenty of mud to get dirty in. LOL Can't wait to see pics.
 
Today was a good day, Izzy showed like she had been doing this for years! And to make the cut was exciting, and she looked soo beautiful! There was some stunning dogs in the ring for consideration! I would hate to be the judge as it would be tough to pick! Im working on some pics so hopefully I can be productive tonight and get some up!! :)

***Edit***My card reader seems to be pitching a fit...could have never actually worked since I havent had to use it in over a few years...but this laptop did not have a cf slot...grrrrrr...So unless I can get a miracle pics will have to wait until I get home :(

Where do I find Izzy on the video..which class? Who is showing tomorrow - what is everyone wearing? I should of made a list of who to look for where, since they don't show names.
I tell some of the outfits the handlers wear are just mind boggling.
 
Megan and Izzy were in the first group of 9-12 month sable and white bitches. Megan was number 122. She and Izzy looked fabulous! Izzy performed beautifully and it was great that she made the cut in such a big class.

Tomorrow is Checkers' day. We show in Am Bred late tomorrow morning. I'm getting on my game face now! If you watch the video, I'll be in a sage green suit and Checkers will be the most gorgeous girl in the class ... no matter what the judge says, LOL! :yes: And I'm lucky enough to get to go home with her when it's over.

Whoo hoo, Leo is very proud of his littermate sister Lisa who came 4th in 6-9 month puppy class.
