Rabbit Run at the National!

We were lucky enough to dodge it here, Linda. I can't believe it was so close to you -- so glad you escaped OK with your mom and Noah! I hope everything is OK at your cabin. If you need anything, call us. We had lots of thunder and lightning here but no tornado that we know of, although by the time we left Purina Farm at dinnertime they had moved everyone from the motor homes outside into the building.

We expected excitement at the National but not this kind!

Oh goodness! I'm glad you, your mom and Noah are OK. Regardless of what else happens/happened that is the most important.

You know, some of the Pittsburgh Sheltie folks are staying at a campground in cabins. I should text Darla and see if everyone's OK.

Finally back to the cabin and online! Woohooooooo everything is unschathed...well except my nerves! Its still thundering and lightening quite loudly and Noah has had enough...poor doggy! Hes resting on the couch with his head on my leg...I may leave him with me tonight on the couch....
Silaria, is thier kennel name Kaskade? If so they were ok, they were pulling in to applebee's when we were leaving with our take out....which turned into a literal dine and dash!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my! I am so happy everyone is safe...and poor Noah,that's too much excitement for a little Sheltie Boy in one day. I'd keep him on the couch right by my side.

Oh wow! What a scary night for you all. I am so glad to hear that you are OK. I hope that the tornado did not touch down to the ground and that there is no one hurt. Craziness around our country this week with tornados. Stay safe everyone!

Well good, now I know what to expect this afternoon. : ) Here it comes!! Guess I should close my windows before I go to work.

Well here is the short version. We had a tornado when I got back to our cabin. Literally was not there more than 5 min when the siren went off I grabbed Noah my mom literally left running barefoot carrying here shoes. Not knowing what way it was headed we parked for a minute at the gas station so I could grab my cell phone charger out of the back as I did that I heard the that train sound. I got back in the car and saw the tornado behind us. I literally started doing 90 mph to get on the highway I called my brother who is also a metrologist and has been tracking me all day and told me keep heading west. We are back safe at purina farms. It was a wild evening. Tornado touch down near our campground we took off driving not knowing where to head. Noah is with us and fine. Still thunder and lightening here but much colder so we should be safe to head back and see if there was any damage.*

Thank God you are all okay. I have been on the literal edge of an F5 tornado and do not want that experience again. A city block our way and it would have been right over us.

I texted her and she's actually north of you in a different campground. Everyone there was fine; just a lot of thunder and lightening.

Honestly, I don't know her kennel name. She specializes in Performance Shelties. He has mostly Tris and Blues. She was competing in the agility trial, probably with Kasper (a simply striking Blue; was a Champion before he was a year old) and Kassie (a smaller Tri). She'll be in the Confirmation ring today.

I have been following the exploits of Team Rabbit Run on sheltiesonline and was disappointed to see the you and Izzy did not place this afternoon. I am sorry for both of you but she has a long career ahead of her and many successes to come.

If you have time, I was wondering if you could explain what it means when a "c" - meaning "cut" is posted next to the name of an entry? I saw that next to Izzy's name and I did not know what that meant.
