Rachie is missed

I'm sorry Laurie, I hope today is better. I'll keep you in my thoughts(like I always do!) and hope the rest of the week goes better. Hugs!!

tehluhlah, thank you. She is and was my best friend. I have a dog now, FoxMan, who looks and reminds me so muvch of Rachie. I look at him and my heart breaks when I do. Rachie will always be remembered, because I have her doppelgänger here.

Shaun...thank you. I think about you a lot too. How you been besides busy:lol:

Your post just set me to tears. You've have a hard, hard go of it in the last bit, but your strength, caring and compassion continues to shine through.

You are a very special lady. Rachie was blessed to have your for a Mom. I'm sure all the years of her life were full of love and happiness that you gave her. And now, she's resting happily at the bridge. She's gots lots of pups to keep her company. You don't need to rush! There are lots more Shelties here that need you too!

Bless you!

You all are so kind and wonderful. I knew if I talked about her here. Some foplks just do not seem to understand how one can grive so long for a dog. To me my dogs are all my family and so special to me.

Every sheltie that has come to me have been amazing and touched me deeply. Rachie and my Fancee more then any others. There may be shelties who need me....but I need them more. Every one of these amazing furbabies has left me with so much. I have learned so much by having them here. It makes me realize how trivial my medical issues may be

So sorry for your loss.
I know how hard it is to loss our furry little friends...but the memories will always keep us smiling!!

I'm sorry to keep going on and on about my RachieRoo. I had the most frightening dream last night about being able to bring Rachie back. It was so scary that I kept trying to force myself to wake up. I would love to have my Rachie back, but with how much she suffered with her medical problems I could not imagine what hell she would suffer if I could. I know she hung on as long as she did because I could not let her go

It takes time for the grieving process to cycle through, and everyone does it in different ways and different timelines. And strangely enough, sometimes the grieving process is helped by talking to "strangers" rather than family or friends. Family and friends apply additional "filters" when you talk to them about it, and cannot be objective. There's baggage there! Plus, they often cannot really identify with what you are experiencing, because they may not have lived it themselves. They try to be helpful, but are not really.

Don't ever hesitate to use this forum to help you through this. It's a safe place to express yourself - Lots of hugs to you!

Laurie

It's been three years ago today, my little Rachie passed. This has been a very hard day for me. Rachie was my licensed service dog, Rachie came to me after the lady who had her had been shut doen by the city. Rachie, Marcus, Yoda, and Kimmi all came from the same lady. Rachie came to me with severe pyometra and I almost lost her as quickly as I got her. She suffered kidney issues which took her just 4 years after I got her. Rachie passed away on the trip to San Diego for dialysis. She was doing the one thing she loved more then getting french fries through a drive up window, she was going for a ride in the car with mom's hand on her heart when she passed. It still hurts tremendously to this day

Rachie my dearest angel. you always will be so special to me. Please stay close to Allie. Fancee, Marcus, Angel and Brandy waiting for me. I love you all and miss you so much.

My heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with you. Your Rachie passed about 1 year prior to my Jewel. I know you're going through some very difficult trials with your health and May Rachie and all your Sheltie Angels watch over you and keep your spirits bright. God Bless you always.
