Sadie is suddenly paralyzed

Tied together? Is she Wacky? Someone needs to call the humane society on her,her kids and her aggressive pup before it gets too out of hand.

I am almost afraid to say it, but her dog will eventually bite someone and she will be the one facing the music with the aggressive dog law, not just the city bylaw. It is so frustrating when you live near people like that. I can see where Sadie would be picking up your feelings about this neighbour. Isn't it always the ones who let their dogs do whatever that complain when someone else's does the same thing?

I've already called the humane society on them repeatedly. They had two small dogs but one was given away, so the dogs aren't tied together anymore at least. But the big pup is always running loose, twice today.

The kids are nasty to him so whenever he gets loose and see's people coming at him he acts aggressive because he's afraid, poor guy. But I've also seen him lunging at dogs. There's no chance these people will train him properly. Its SUCH a shame, he's so beautiful (I think he's a shepard/malamute x).

I am 'hating' on your neighbours almost as much as on Caros!

Happy Friday!

Sadie has started playing with Ginny again! I'm so happy I could just cry and Ginny is ecstatic.

Sadie is acting like her usual happy self again, smiling at me, rubbing up against me like a cat and acting playful. I've even been bringing her jogging with me and while she doesn't seem to like it too much (I'll mention it in another thread), she's not dragging her feet either.

Its almost as if the paralysis never happened. The only thing she has difficulty with is going up stairs.

Anyway, here are some video's I took yesterday and this morning of Ginny and Sadie playing. In the second video you can even see Sadie rearing up on her back legs.

Also, here are a couple more short videos of Sadie swimming. She gets so into it that she just looks so cute!

Thanks so much everyone with your support. I don't know how I wouldn't have gotten through this without all your encouragement and shoulders to lean on. Its amazing that its possible to make such great friends that you've never actually met or spoken to. :smile2:

Wow, she's progressing beautifully! The video of her and Ginny playing is wonderful... it's so good for both of them.

Way to go, Sadie! Good dog!

I've never been so happy to see her play.

If only you could have seen what she was like after it happened, but I just couldn't bring myself to record her stumbling around.

My good friend admited to me last night that she went home and cried after seeing Sadie a few days after her initial paralysis. This was after I picked Sadie up from the vets, when I was excited about how much Sadie had improved. She so upset to see how it had affected Sadie.

I am so happy to see her doing so well and Ginny must be happy to have her sister playing with her again. Your hard work, patience, and attention to her rehabilitation has really paid off. I am just thrilled for all of you. You truely are the best of the best when it comes to sheltie Mom's :wink2:

Wow!

That is amazing and she is so happy.

You have done an amazing job with Sadie. You should pat yourself on the back for being so committed to your pretty little girl.

That made my day :biggrin2:
