Shadowing

With four shelties, six puppies, two cats, and three humans in the house the shadowing game here is rather intriguing. If we are all in the great room watching TV and one person gets up to go to another room, they will have one or two followers to the bathroom or bedrooms and the entire herd if the destination is the kitchen or an outside door. The puppies would join the mass exodus if they weren't restrained by our corral of x-pens and obstacles.

Thanks to Layla the LifeGuard, I need never fear falling into the toilet and drowning. !

Yes, my shadows help out in bathroom duty as well. I will never fear slipping on a wet floor after a shower because they both so kindly leap to lick the floor of any shower spills!

They are also kind enough to help me out with towelling dry.....they take care of my legs, while I towel dry the upper half of my body! I'm dry in half the time!

I think I will train the boys to hand me the TP while I'm at it, as they are so very attentive and seem to want to help! Bacca can pull the roll and Indy can snap it off the holder! :rolleyes2:

With help like this, I shouldn't ever need home care when I get old!

Ah, there is one time though that the Sheltie Shadows vanish like ghosts in the night...whenever they see the special doggie bath towels come up from the basement. Then you'd never find one anywhere near a bathroom in my house!

Mysterious, isn't it! I experience the same phenomena when I haul out the grooming basket, pups disappear! ......har, har, har.....but I can always lure them out! The instruments of torture! It's too horrible to endure! First Mom will lay them down and treat them senseless, then she'll start stroking them into ecstasy with her brushes.....then when she has you totally under her spell, she'll pull out the dreaded "nail gear"! Yikes! Caught again! He, he, he! :eek2:

Don't forget the Sheltie Exfoliating Facial. Boodle was kind enough to give me the full treatment this morning!

ROTFL. So true! As soon as I turn the bath taps on the house goes strangely silent...

Riley will shadow me most of the day, especially in the kitchen. At about 11:30pm or so he gets up and goes to my bedroom wether I am going to bed or not.

As far as disappearing acts at bath times goes, mine disappear as soon as I remove his collar.

They are nosey arent they  Yup, everytime I go in the kitchen I have a follower, if I go upstairs I can hear him race to the bottom of the stairs so he can watch me walk up them (he good boyo, doesnt go up the stairs unless he's told to), Ive even seen how many time I can go between two rooms and he still follows me
