We just recently got a new duvet cover as a wedding gift (yay! Things in our house are starting to match, haha)...but the dogs and the cat LOVE to lay on it. The dogs actually aren't as bad, but the three of them combined a lot of hair gets all over it. It's a light color, so it looks bad.

I tried using one of those lint brushes with the disposable tape type things, but it doesn't work very well. I think I would go through the whole roll before the duvet cover looked any better.

The only way I can get some of the hair off is to use my hands and brush it into clumps (yuck), but it's not very efficient. Does anyone have a good recommendation for a hair remover for a bedspread? Something that maybe rolls the hair together or grabs it?

Thanks!

Ah, well, since I started to let the pups sleep on the bed, my lovely duvet cover is covered with a sheet that is easily pulled off, washed and reset.

Brian and I discovered this neat contraption,it's made by pledge, and you will find it in Walmart with the dusting polish. I can;t think of the name of it,but it is on the top shelf in our Walmart, and I'm thinking most stores have a similar planogram,so you should find it there.

It has two rollers in it,all plastic & it's blue. They actually say they are disposible, but I hav'ent thrown mine away yet,and I bought it before Trapp came home.
You can easily take the rollers out, empty the reservoir, and put it back together.

If someone were to walk in our house, early mornings,I cover my sofa & loveseat in the main room with sheets. My slipcoverings on those two pieces of furniture are cream, and Earnhardts hair, when he's really shedding, its terrible.
It embeds in every thing. So I do cover the furniture or I would be washing slipcovers every day.
I think they are about 4.50 in price, and for us,it has been a god send. He does'nt get on the beds, cause he can't get his butt up that far!

Between Earnhardt & Bumper, they are the culprits of shedding.Have not seen it yet with Trapp.

yes I was going to recommend the pledge thing (although I havent used it)...although I have to say I have a white down comforter on my bed and 2 black cats who are on it 23 out of the 24 hours in the day. I use the huge bath towel on it and simply wash every week or 2 or whenever it looks really ugly! also Ive resorted before I used the towel to using my dyson animal attachments.

The best thing I've found for removing fur from anything, bed covers, car seats, upholstery, even clothes, is a pet sponge that is in some stores like Petland. They last forever and you can wash them although I just pull the fur off. You can find it online too, here. It's the Gonzo Pet Sponge:

I LOVE the Pledge hair remover. Works great!

Actually does very well on clothing to.I've even used in the truck on the back seats. Cheap alternative,to using those roller things. You could almost put one in the vehicle,,and leave it there.

I put one in Eric & Lynn's christmas stocking,as thier two shed terrible to.
