Sheltie ear tipping?

Like she said.....there are posts forever on this topic. You can probably narrow your search by focussing on "grooming", I think.

But to help narrow it down there are a few choices to search on

1) Basic gluing
2) Taping - including Japanese tape and moleskin techniques.

This is just laughs to me . . . the shepherd boards talk about taping ears UP. The shelties DOWN.

Is nobody happy with their ears? Oh right, the hound group is happy with their ears and the Aussies too.

Aussies glue ears too. I know an Aussie breeder from disc dog stuff and she glues her puppies ears.

Noooo. Not the Aussies too! Well. I guess they can go kind of flying nun on you. Mine were all good except one who had one drop ear but it gave him character. I did know one with tipped ears. Guess no one is happy.

Also, if you've read the book called Show Dog, about Jack the Aussie, one of his ears goes a little wonky, so before dog shows they put a little magnet clip thing over his ear so it will look correct in the ring. Although I don't know of any other breed that tries to keep ears tipped or down. Border collies, maybe? Not the working ones, but conformation border collies?
