Sweet Petunia

Dear Julie, I check this site every day to see the latest news about dear Petunia. I am so sad now, hearing the latest about Sweet Petunia's tumors. Poor little darling, she sure doesn't deserve any more problems in her life. I am praying constantly for her. I sure pray that something can be done to help with this cancer and like you said, that will still keep her feeling good. I just wish these little darlings didn't have to go through these things. Somehow, it seems really unfair. God bless you and all the people who are helping this sweet little girl. Thank you for keeping us updated too. I love her too.:hugs

Continued prayers for precious Petunia! If the tumor was fully encapsulated and came out clean (no lymph nodes, metastases), then hopefully she could be OK. Praying that's the case. Meantime, glad to hear she is so happy and loving every minute of her new life with people who love and care for her. We'll be glued to the postings to hear the next steps for her.

You should all be proud, spoke with Julie from TSSR, and we contributed 90% of the money needed for Petunia surgery. I feel to proud to be part of this community. Keep those prayers going, she still need a lot. Thank you so much.
 
Thanks for the update on Petunia. I'm sorry to hear the biopsy results came back showing cancer. Thank you for doing so much to help her and allowing her to be happy in her later years.

Continued prayers for her health and that a forever home will be found for her.
 
I had a Sheltie, my heart dog, who had an oral tumor (roof of the mouth) that was a sarcoma; the vets said he had 6 weeks to live, no treatments would be effective.

Long, long story short: with no conventional treatments (surgery, radiation or chemo) and with a natural/raw diet and intensive supplementation (under the guidance of an experienced practitioner), Sander lived with that cancer for more than 7 years. And died of old age with the tumor still there, but so little changed in that time that the veterinary oncologist was astounded.

Sander's cancer was quite different than what Petunia is facing; nonetheless, I would be more than happy to take Petunia for the rest of her life, and see if the protocol that helped Sander can give her a good quality of life for whatever time remains. I live in Chicago, so I don't know if that's an option that TriState would consider.

If not, I volunteer as a resource and sponsor for another adoptive home who wants to give Petunia this chance.

Right now there are some people interested in Petunia, but nothing definite. Were all waiting for her results. I don't know if traveling to chicago for her is an option but i will certainly pass your information on and thank you so much. Compassion is a wonderful thing and it certainly is overflowing on this site. I am so sorry for your loss but sounds like you did everything and more for cinnamon. I want to read about the journey you shared with your fur baby. You are one very special person.
