Sheltie Quirks

Are you in these?????

Nope, these aren't my babies, but might as well be! Who can't identify with some of these behaviours!? I was just surfing YouTube and came across the video and thought I would share!

I cracked up when I watched this! I thought Marlie was the only insane one about the hose! She will leap through the air to catch the water! Thanks for sharing the video!

That is too funny! So far my 5 month old Bailey is Mr. Paws. I've got to teach him to "high 5"! He waves them at EVERYTHING. I wish I had a camera the other day, he looked like Ninja dog. My Aussie Krystal had taken his favorite bone and since she's the boss, he could do nothing about it. But protest, he did. He leaped and bounded all around her, and one time put both those paws straight up in the air above his head and stood on his hindlegs, and just hovered there, looked just like a Ninja!

He also loves to chase and nip and growl at the sliding patio door as it opens and closes.

He's not too much of a barker--yet--but we'll see!

Lol this is such a good post.

Stanley:
1. Circles everything, I mean EVERYTING.
2.Likes to lick the insides of shoes! (ewww)
3.Talks to you when he wants something. We call it the Sheltie talk, Harry does it too.

Harry:
1. Does that cheeck puff thing.
2. Rolls on his back and "swims".
3. Gives you the side eye when he dont want to be bothered.

so true

This is a great post!

Bentley also hates when we change the trash bag, and he wiggles all over the place when we come home.

He also "stomps" at us when he wants to go out (or get in his favorite spot on the couch). He literally stomps his back legs. So funny to watch!

He also walks about a mile while he is pooping.

I didn't realize that some of these are sheltie things! Sadie also loves to lick lotion, puffs her cheeks when she smells something intently and lets out HUGE sighs right before falling asleep
omg..that's what that is all about! jeez the lotion thing is funny but scary.

Well, I think I may have the topper of all quirks.....dirty underwear eating....ew. Indy has chewed the crotch out of several pairs of underwear. Really prefers my daughter's which infuriates her. LOL

Champagne bottles

I totally forgot about the barking at exercising thing! Max barks at Cindy if she does crunches. And I also have video of Max doing the whole stretch thing. The back stretch is the best. He drags his legs like they're dead planks.

Brock braces himself and prepares to bark when he sees me with a champagne bottle in my hand. And if I open it just right so it doesn't *pop* he doesn't bark. Who's quirky him or *me*??!!

That's me last week! Oh yeah, nothing like opening your underware on a trip and finding out that it's been air conditioned! :eek2:

Hey OntarioSheltie,
Do you live in Ontario?

BTW do you leave your sheltie home alone for several hours during day time, when you go work?

we are kind of scared our puppy might go crazy if we leave him at home alone.
