Sheltie Rescue Picnic - NJ

I'm not sure now whether we'll be able to make it. It seems as though we're not meant to go.

Ginny is VERY sick today. I thought she ate something that upset her tummy but she's been getting increasingly sick. By 12am last night she'd stopped eating and drinking and was vomiting bile. I gave her gravol to sooth her tummy but this morning when we got up we discovered she'd had explosive diarrhea in her crate. What a mess and the poor little thing looked so ashamed. She still refuses to eat or drink and is quite listless.

My grandmother is going to take her to the vet this afternoon. Hopefully they'll just give her some metronidizole into her and she'll be back to her old self by Saturday.

To top all this off my 3 year old washing machine broke down so I don't have anything to clean up the mess with. :dead:

Oh no! That sounds very similar to the virus Bailey picked up at the end of June. Metrondozle did help, but 6 days later my maltese came down with the same symptoms and also had to go to the vet. So be careful because it might be contagious and you don't want Ginny or Sadie to get sick while you are driving in the middle of no where.

I saw that one too.

I might be able to get this costume. It'll be good to have anyway.
Your kids are more than welcome to add Bailey to their herd of sheep.

Way too cute. I wish I had thought of it earlier--I'd get that one for Ginger. Maybe I'll get NOW for next year!

See you guys Sunday :)

I ordered the sheep costume. it should be here Saturday. If I manage to find the materials that I need for my original costume idea and pull it off, then you can borrow Bailey's sheep costume for the day.

I just gave Dandie a bath and I will brush her out later on today.

I will get Chloe cleaned up tomorrow.....depending on what the vet says about her today and her leg. My guess though, is that she will be on "crate rest" and will not be going

I'm sorry, but I'm just not going to be able to make it. Ginny is just not going to be well enough to do any travelling, if she even comes home from the vet today and I don't feel comfortable leaving her when she's ill.

Is this picnic held the same time each year? If so I'll write it on my calendar and book a day or two off in advance for next year. I have the map and I've found a hotel to stay at for future reference.
