Shock Collars

I was curious if you all strap them in a certain way for a "bye bye" car ride??

Chloe is in the car with me all the time. Taking the kids to school, shopping, after school activities. She is my little buddy. She sits in the front seat of my van next to me and she wears a harness with a strap that snaps into the front seat belt. My passenger air bag turns off because she is too small. My harness seat belt is from PetEdge and looks similar to Bailey's...just a different pattern. I always snap her in, as I am afraid of hitting the brakes and having her fly off the seat or into the dashboard.

She goes shopping with you?? How totally cool is that , how do you pull that one off? I would love to start taking Megan places with me!

I used to put Bacca in a soft-sided crate in the back seat but this was not practical for two

So I bought a contraption that fits over the back seat and extends to the back of the front seat that keeps them from jumping to the front and from falling into the gap between the two.

I'm pooped, else I would find the link and post it. There is a thread on this already.

OMG - I read this post before the others and my heart sank. I thought you were talking about strapping them in for their 'final' car ride to the vet - the 'bye bye' forever visit! Esp when the thread had been about shock collars. I still have this awful pic in my head.

On a lighter note, mine are harnessed and have a seatbelt adaptor attached to the harness, altho Tully usually gets crated (the cat is using her car crate atm) as she throws herself around the car.

Haha, I am so sorry, I think I may have confused a few people by calling outings with our pets "bye byes". My Mom called it bye byes and I have always called it bye byes with my pets. :biggrin2:

That was my first thought too! But then I thought, could she really mean that? :uhoh: Glad that was all straightened out!

Wow! Hahaha, I really am sorry I didnt clarify myself, I have a habit of not doing that :uhoh:.

I will start looking for a harness type of contraption to use for Megan on our TRIPS AROUND TOWN,. Doesnt everyone call it "bye byes", hehe:confused2:

Going everywhere with you

Danisgoat had mentioned she takes Chloe everywhere with her, so I am curious if you all do also?? And how do you take them shopping and into various stores when most places won't allow pets :confused2:

It depends on if "bye bye" refers to a car ride or a walk. It makes a difference :biggrin2:

I guess I must be super-paranoid. Both dogs wear collars all the time. Both wear harnesses when we leave the house. Happy also wears his Gentle Leader for walks. Callie gets walked on her harness unless we're practicing rally stuff- then it's her martingale. Both are seatbelted with their harnesses in the car. We did have a thread on this way earlier and pix of my seatbelts are in there.

I take at least one of mine(usually Justice) along with me when I am going places that allow dogs or on quick trips were I'm not leaving the car long. In the winter, the go more. But too hot or too cold everyone stays home.:smile2:
My dogs ride in a kennel. It have a mini van so its easier.
