Should I rehome?

I wish she would post,cause I have a terrible gut feeling.

Sorry for keeping you guys in suspense! We won't be taking him to the shelter and we've found a few people who are interested in him. My father and I really don't want to give him up, but my mom isn't an animal person and is starting to hate him because of the whining. Unfortunately she gets final say since she takes care of him as we're too busy with work, etc. We think he might be happier in a less busy home too.
I want to make sure his new owners are reliable people, anyone have any advice on picking the right family for him? What questions should I ask the potential homes?
As for a sheltie rescue, there is a small one in town but they don't take surrendered dogs, only ones that have been abused or abandoned. They're very underfunded and I would not trust them with my dog.

The people on here will offer you excellent advice on specific types of questions to ask potential owners. There are people out there who are "slick willy's" and know all the right questions and answers to make you feel comfortable rehoming your boy w/them, but the ppl here will help you on discernment also..
