I saw it on facebook tonight....he did really well!!
I saw it on facebook tonight....he did really well!!
Yes he did quite well. not really sure what is up with him tonite,he seems a bit uneasy,maybe his belly is upset. took his temp,and it was ok,his poop looks ok,but he is uneasy,moving in his crate front to back,he is sleeping,but just not sound.
We'll keep a good watch on him tonite,maybe bath time was a liitle bit much. I'm kinda worried,hopefully he will sleep well. If not we'll be off to the vet tomorrow to have him checked.
It has been raining miserably here,so potty times were quite short,and I told Brian I was sure that after his dinner,he was not out side long enough to poop,and I was sure he would poop on the sunporch..which he did. Which was not a big deal,I did not want him out in this miserable rain,and its only tiled floor out there,so a very easy clean up.
He's been perfectly fine all day. Just uneasy tonite~

An unexpected visiter!
Well as you can see Trapp was having a grand time playing in a box,untill an unexpected visiter..Bumper appears to check it all out.
You'll notice there is a piece of tape across the doorway to our bedroom. I have decided to try this method with Trapp as well. Earnhardt learned to not cross a boundry this way.
As the weeks progress the tape will get lower,and it will eventually lay flat on the floor,hopefully by then he will learn that until he can mind his P's & Q's,the room is off limits. Or maybe his taste for cat food & litter will diminish~
Unfortunately baby gates will not work in this door way for me. As Bumper will be gated completely off. And blind cats will not navigate a gate, due to the fact they do not know what is on the other side. Plus many blind cats will go backwards down from a high vantage. As she does in her condo.
She will spend hours in the bedroom, not once making a move to venture, which I'm sure is a crimp in her style.
The tape has worked wonderfully,as she can sense it,and goes under it all the time,and Trapp is responding well to the boundry line. Unfortunately he has eaten cat food,on 3 occasions..and has checked out he contents of the litter box.
Egads!!!
So there are some "ah-Ah's" as he ventures close,and you'l see his reaction! Please forgive the giggling..could'nt help it~

The Bath and the box are great!
Trapp was big time into that box. lol It's amazing what grabs their attention. He did better than I thought once he discovered Bumper on the outside of the box. Thanks for sharing Michele !

Thanks for the video Michele! Trapp has really grown..he's getting a bit leggy now. He looks so impish! All of your furkids are really getting along so well. Here at my house...not so good at the moment. Out of the blue today Angus has decided to attack Newton several times. We're saddened and STUMPED.
Oh no...that's not cool. May-be an alpha thing going on. It's kind of strange that it would come about so suddenly. I have experianced here with two spayed females over Earnhardt. Fine one minute..then one would have the other by the throat on the ground. Never any thing to serious or one I could'nt break up,but scary & upsetting just the same. I hope things cool off between the two males soon.
Trapp is getting tall for sure,and is certainly getting to be a substancial pup to tote around. I can tell he has put weight no since his last vet visit.And is eating like a pig! Darn he has a voracious appetite. I have been making the switch from Nutro puppy,and giving a small amount of the Diamond brand,chicken & rice.Honestly I think this pup would eat road tar..and be totally happy!
Keep us posted on Newton,I hope things level out,as this kind of behavior could certainly keep one on edge not knowing what could happen.

Oh, how cute! When Duncan was that age, he would whine to me about nothing at all just like that. And Pierre would rush over to see what damage had been inflicted. I tried my best not to respond at all trying not to encourage it and the phase is over. Now he's in the growing phase (and getting himself overworked over treats!). We're adding targeting to his training, which he has and Pierre does not. They've taken the kitchen suspension during the day well and they are good about using the paper. Pierre still sneaks off the bed to make a mess around the house. I think I'm going to have to take him out for designated potty outings and try this again. Crating isn't really an option after a year of being in the bed with us. Plus, it just got cold! (Low of 43 this evening)
Anyway, he looks to be the same size at Duncan! It is amazing how much variation in size comes out of the single breed. Duncan is 15 weeks and somewhere between 6 and 7 lbs.

ANd MMM is 16 weeks and 13lbs. Twice the size and really doesn't look overweight............yet
