Spelling / Meaning Question

I hope, it's dog related enough, to place it here - if not, I'm sorry.

I have a question about a picture, which I want to upload for my spreadshirt-account. (http://s1200.photobucket.com/user/bejilia/media/shelties_rule.png.html) I already put it up to my German account, but the designs are not available in the USA and I wanted to share my designs for the shirts with (at least most of) you, too, so I opened a .com account.
Now all I want to know is, can I use the word "Multitalent" in english for our Shelties or is there another meaning, that could be misunderstood and I should replace it with all-rounder... :pop

Multi-talented (with the 'ed' on the end, don't know why but it's always past tense) is the right word, otherwise versatile or according to Roget's Thesaurus could also be adaptable, gifted, accomplished, all-rounder, ingenuous, and even protean - which is a new word for me, I'll have to use it today!

Btw - the drawings are great, did you do them?
 
There is actually an AKC title for versatility. I don't know what all it requires, but I know it's for dogs that excel in several areas...ie: herding, agility, obedience...

I love your tee shirt design. I think I would use Multi-talented as Caro suggested.

I want to use a noun and if a form of versatile is used as an AKC title, I think I will use all-rounder, but I'll take some nights to think about it.

And yes, the drawings are mine (like these). I'm so glad, that you like it. When I finished this one, my next little project will be an "Agility Is ..." with a Sheltie. :biggrin2:

I like the word "multifaceted"

Just an FYI, saying "all-rounder", I don't think is correct. Actually, all-round just doesn't sound right to me. LOL. Not saying it's wrong, just saying it sounds weird to me. Oh, I know why. I say "all-around". Anyhow. I think in English, it'd be "all-round" or "all-rounded". Not sure why, but many of these words use the -ed past tense form.

I still like "versatile".

That's a new aspect and new help. How does it sound?

After all, I think, I have to think different... Now, my favorites are "all-round dog", "versatile", "multi-talented" and "the adaptable". If you had to choose, which would it be? Rather more work to change, than a half good design in the end (at least I think so). :cool: :wink2:

My suggestion - accomplished, adept, resourceful, masterful, nifty. For abit of slang you could use crackerjack!
