I guess I should consider myself lucky because Bela won't go into either of the bathrooms, and Gracie only goes in there when following a human-type person (she MUST watch). I can't figure out what it is about the bathrooms that she is trying to avoid. It's not that she's afraid of the floors or something - I've left her in there a hundred times when I have to go out and will be gone a while.
She's just this week discovered the joys of the box of tissues in the den. She can easily reach it from her perch on the love seat. She was so disappointed when I took the shredded one (or its thousands of pieces) and threw it away. After her sitting and looking at me mournfully, I finally relented and gave her another one. She was thrilled.
I guess this is just one of her quirks, like her "road kill baby" (one of those stuffing free fox plush toys that she beds down in a nursing position all the time). She whines and barks when she can't find her baby.
