Definitely a great idea for a thread!
I never get to catch Bentley doing anything naughty (he's too smart for that), but I do have a picture of the leather that they took out of his stomach after he ate a leather box and had to have surgery. That's pretty naughty (read: $$$$$)!
Lexi is much cheekier with her naughtiness, and seems to delight in our annoyance...

lol, The poor dog was ready to hurl himself against the wall as punishment... he so hates to have been 'wrong'
he's normally a very sensible boy who is near perfect, I think he's not sure what got into him here!
hahaah, that was right at my entrance way, too.. so i couldn't help but see the TP and the chewed hat as soon as I walked in the door, all I did was laugh and said uhoh who did this, Toffee? and that was his look

Oh my, these pictures are priceless! Especially the Sheltie expressions of total innocence!
I wish I'd taken photographic evidence in our house...I could fill a book. My first Sheltie, Scruffy, specialized in Christmas ornaments...usually, my favorites. In the off season, she ate coffee tables. Bandit (our second) had a taste for leather shoe laces -- he loved the ones in LL Bean shoes. Ivy, our third, chewed just the corners of rugs. All of them. Even the wall-to-wall.
Fast forward to our present bunch. Pixie was a master at shredding dog beds as a puppy. I think she went through three before I gave up buying them and let her sleep with me. Who was the smart one there??? Barkley likes to dismantle bathroom rugs. He dug up all the little strands and then carefully pulled them out with his teeth. When he got bored with that, he dismantled our bathroom wall. He also delights in raiding wastebaskets for tissues to shred.
Checkers and Lacey, the show dogs, are of course, perfect. Neither of them have found anything expensive enough to trash. I'm sure they'll figure it out.

I forgot about the day 6 month Diva ate the toilet paper. She pooped solid white for a day. I don't think that was how TP was designed to wipe.

Hmmm...TP wasn't designed that way, but that method looks kinda efficient to me
Would save a lot of washing of sheltie rears!I don't have photo evidence either, but Callie has chewed miscellaneous items. The worst one was a lamp cord -- which was plugged in -- but luckily it works off a remote for our alarm system and wasn't "on" at the time. She also loves to chew up socks, shoe laces, and has even chewed a hole in a couple of my levis. One time I penned her in the bathroom, thinking it would be bigger than her crate, and she started on the carpet that poked under the door. As a baby she also attacked our entry way floor mat, and shredded up the old towels we used to use as bedding in her crate.
The problem is I never know when it might hit. Most of the time she's fine. We do keep her crated during the day while we're at work and again at night, but she managed to do all her damage so stealthily I don't dare leave her out if we're gone too long.

Now, see, chewing the holes in your Levis... she was totally doing you a favor. Stores charge so much more for that worn/distressed look.
A lot of our shelties appear to just be attempting to assist with our sense of personal fashion or home decor.

My two specialize. Lexi pro at chewing cords. I got pretty good at splicing cords back together. Pyper is a paper shreder. No paper is safe from her and they are both so sneaky about there crimes. We can be right in the same room, but they are so stelth that they do their deeds undetected...
