Thievery and Other Misdemeanors

Kiara is learning a little young. If my husband sits on the couch with his food, snack, doesn't matter it's right up on the couch and into his lap looking at what he has But she is learning no. And she is starting to learn if she just sits on the floor and looks pretty she'll get what she wanted to begin with. Don't know where that came from, Tasha the elder.

Too funny that you mention that Elaine! All 3 of my girls surround my husband at the dinner table or when he's out on the couch. They to, lay and look pretty and usually get something from him. They all have him wrapped around their paws!!

I have found that Marlie and Rasha both like to pull used kleenex - ewwww, out of the trash and rip them to shreads. We have been lucky that none of them even try to counter surf or get into the main trash can. Something about used kleenex!!

She leaves the new, open box of kleenex alone and only goes after the used stuff. She can't seem to help herself!

My dogs like the kleenex too- used smells much better than new- though Callie did empty a box when it was in her reach.
Can't leave bread anywhere she can get to it. shortly after she came to live with us, I was putting groceries on the couch- used to pile everything there from the car and then put it all away. between one trip and the next, she found the bag with the rolls, got them off the couch and chewed a hole through the bag and helped herself to a hoagie roll. now, they go straight into the fridge safe from sheltie thieves.

Forgot to mention our family dog, Gordie, who ate a whole, baked ham once. Mom had set it on the counter to cool a bit, and when she walked away, he pulled it off the counter and ate every bit of it! Still can't figure out how he managed to be so quiet, because neither me or Mom heard a thing! He used to eat the left out butter, too. I caught him doing that one afternoon, paws on the counter, making a racket licking the dish clean!

You can't be mad at any of the furkids when they do that, because they look so cute!

My girls are thieves too. Since they are girls they especially like my things. They love all of my things - headbands are a favorite, my leather workout gloves, my underwear of course, my gloves, socks, slippers, shoes....

They love my bathroom and the big fluffy rug - they love to lick the water off of my legs when I get out of the shower (so now I have to towel off in the shower just to get some space), also I cannot take a bath without two little heads laying on the side staring at me just wishing they could lick bubbles off of my arms. When I put on lipstick or lipgloss they act like they'd lick that off too if I'd let them.

They love being brushed and groomed and told *How Pretty* they are

Bits takes shoes. We've all learned to put 'em away or put 'em up high! Fortunately, everyone has stopped snitching my panties.

Shelbie was notorious for stealing my husbands weight lifting gloves. She loves to pick anything up that she can find and carry it all to the same spot then lay by it. She wont destroy it, just protect it

Max, the sable pup, loves my hubby's slippers and my ponytail bands! Every now and then, he'll sneak things out of the bedroom and go hide and start with the chewing!

We've also caught him chewing pencils, although I don't know how he is getting them, unless he's jumping up on the desk and grabbing one from the pencil cup!

They're just like toddlers, these puppies-you have to block off rooms, lock cabinets, etc.
