terdonal, I am so sorry and your story brought me to tears as well. I went through a very similar situation. I took in Fancee who was frail and very ill...but she became the reason I smiled and fell so deeply in love with shelties. I lost her a week before Christmas after having her for only 8 months. Two weeks after Fancee passed we got her neice Angel and were starting to fall madly in love with her. We took her in for dental work and within a few days she fell very ill. She passed from complications from the dental work and renal failure. Your story truly brought tears to my eyes and I totally understand your lose. Fancee and Angel were the reason I started my rescue and remembering this story truly makes me understand that life is incomplete when one leaves us
That is how I loss my beautiful Jewel who was a young 10 years. I dedicated that Garth Brooks song to My Jewel. The Dance ! Tears flow everytime I hear the song.Thank you very much for your comments. I am finding it even harder this time. I guess it because it was so sudden and that I am kicking myself for not seeing the signs that might have saved my buddy and that I let her down.
We thought we were doing the right thing in getting her teeth cleaned and had no idea she had issues with her kidneys that would result in losing her.
Regards
Terry
