Throwing up??

To slow down the eating you can also put a ball in the food bowl with the food. A rubber or tennis ball would work well, depending on the size of your bowl. That way, they have to eat around the ball and it seriously slows down their ability to just inhale.

That might work for Shelties. Old Dunie would eat the ball, too. :lol:

lol, Sadie loves both tennis balls and rubber balls so that wouldn't work for her. She'd make such a big mess picking up the balls in the middle of eating. She'd be dropping them back in and sending the kibble flying or taking turns playing and eating :lol:
 
I think i will try the tennis ball just to have a good laugh. Jasper loves his tennis ball and i wonder if he would pick the food or the tennis ball.
 
LOL - Bacca loves to play catch with himself if I'm too busy! He takes his ball or throw toy and tosses it in the air and catches it mid-air. I can just see flying kibble everywhere! :lol:

All seems fine now but I'll continue to watch him.

If I were you I'd keep an eye on him and make sure whatever he IS eating is actually coming out the other end. I know dogs often throw up frequently if they have some sort of intestinal blockage since the food has nowhere to go. If he's relieving himself normally then I would rule out the blockage possibility. Puppies are notorious for eating things they shouldn't without anyone even noticing. I hope Bacca feels better soon!
 
Glad to hear Bacca is feeling better! :smile2: Indy is fine also. He only threw up the once and it was all food. I can commiserate with the carsickness though. Meeko gets carsick hours after he eats! He drools like crazy beforehand also.
 
I"m also glad to hear Bacca is doing better. I have a cat and I'm used to him throwing up because, well, that's what they do..but when Pogo does it, I tend to freak out just a little.

Listarz, I swear I think Meeko and Pogo are twins separated at birth. He get some serious car sickness. If we go to my vet (15 min away from my house) he throws up in my car. Anywhere less than that and he is a drooling little monster!! :lol: The only reason I get upset is because my laundry load for towels has tripled! :razz: He's going to doggie day camp tomorrow and I got some yummy tasting (according to him) calming medicine and we are going to try that out tomrrow. I'll let you know how it works. I'd give anything for the drooling monster to come back and not the exorcist dog I have now when we go for car rides. Poor puppy-not his fault. I've tried everything-he sits in the front seat, actually the front floorboard (guess not as much movement? That's where he prefers), I constantly comfort him and tell him he's a good dog..small amount of treats-hope it's something he grows out of once his confidence level is built up. Sorry to ramble!!!! :o
