Tired of off leash dogs attacking my furkids

Yesterday I stopped in the office and spoke with Hilary who's sister manages all property's so I knew I would get a great response because her sister and husband were here the first year the community was built and put up with no BS. I also wrote a 5 page letter last night stating all the resent issues I have had days, approx. times, names, apt,#'s etc. I explained exactly how I felt about the issues and that I wanted them addressed immediately. I dropped it off to the complex manager today and she showed me the letter she was sending the resident I had a problem with on Sunday. He will receive a $100.00 fine,a copy of his pet agreement and she has stated if his dog is seen offleash again his lease will be terminated. She finely gets how serious I am about this and is really concerned about Gypsy and Chandler. Thank God I have always had a great relationship with her and the owner of the complex. She also told me I would be happy to hear with all Gypsy's issues that she has requested all the mulch in the complex be removed and they replace it will the garden pebbles. She is not doing it special for me,she is tired of the mess from the mulch but it will be one less allergen for Gypsy to deal with. Wouldn't it be great if it turns out that is all she is allergic to?

Good for you Dawn. Sounds like things are moving forward. It is really too bad it have to come to this before someone took you seriously.

Dawn, I was so happy to read this! Let's hope that things continue to look up from here.

What a relief, so glad something is finally being done. Lets hope word gets around quickly and the other dog owners pull their necks in too.

Good work. Persistence certainly can pay off. I am happy for the resolution. I was very interested in your reference to the mulch on the property, as our first sheltie developed serious problems around his mouth and it was traced to the mold in the landscape mulch we had all around our home. We got it all removed and replaced with cypress mulch which does not harbor/produce mold. His symptoms quickly cleared up. I trust things will improve for Chandler as well. Blessings, Will

Such great news, I'm so happy for you that they're taking it seriously. I really hope that things are better for you and your pups now. :smile2:

When I first suspected the mulch was the cause of Gypsy's allergies the vet told me Mulch is one of the top allergy problems in dogs. I am glad your problem has been resolved and it's good to know about the Cypress Mulch.
