wow, 40 minutes.. that would be hell. Everett's one seizure was small, and perhaps a minute(?) or two- time has little meaning when they are in that state.
Out vet gave us a strong sedative if he were to have one, and a syringe to give him corn syrup or the likes of (I guess ice cream would be better!) afterward s to replace the sugar they use during one.
Thankfully, we haven't had to use any of the stuff.
