Last night around 2:30 I woke up to Liam throwing up! It was just two small spots so I just cleaned it up and left him in his cage and went back to sleep. At 3:15 I woke up to the sound of him throwing up again! This time when I went to clean it up I was horrified at not only the size but the fact that it was so dense and solid!

I am posting this absolutely gross image because I have no idea what it could be!

I was hardly able to go back to sleep after that as I was worrying if he would not eat or drink in the morning as he might have a blockage. One piece of the contents looks like a piece of undigested hot dog that I trained with 4 days ago!

He pooped and peed last night. He ate this morning and drank as well. He pooped this morning too! So, my dilemma is, should I take him to the vet for an X-ray?

He seem totally fine now. I give him cotton string notted bones to chew for his teething so not sure if that is it or possibly when he got into the bathroom and got the Kleenex and possibly the hair from my hair brush when I cleaned it.

Sorry for the gross photo. But, I thought someone might know what the heck he ate! So damn scary!

Could be the hair from your hairbrush (I would think like Chris if you hadn't said you cleaned your brush but then how would a puppy catch a squirrel lol)..are you sure you it's a hot dog piece and that it's from 4 days ago? Did he throw up that Kleenex too? OMG what a little garbarater!
Maybe call your vet and ask if you should bring him in...I'm thinking if he threw all THAT up he's probably ok but you never know. I once had a dog that ate most of the sole from a leather slipper and Riley ate a sock once but that takes the cake!

That just scared me! I will bring it into the vet to have them diagnose what it was!

The red part seemed to come from one of his toys!

Her are the before and after photos.

That was impressive. I see he and Skylar are going to compete for the award of "Who can eat the most bizarre item and scare our humans in the middle of the night"!!!!!

Oh my goodness! He really did a number on that toy!
If you let it dry and pick it apart (the vomit...disgusting but then us dog people will do that lol) wth tweezers or something you may be able to figure out what he ate. I agree the red is probably that toy.
It's true that puppies eat EVERYTHING :ROFLMAO: as evidenced by Liam!!!

Well, just came back from the vet. Brought in what he threw up and the technician said it was all fur and hair with a bit of toy fur for good measure! Thank God it was not a dead animal!

Will never deposit any more hair from my brush in the bathroom trash can!

The vet tech was shocked at the amount and said no way could his stomach process it! So, he said he was not surprised that he threw it up! With all the hair he pulls out of Beau it is something I will have to discourage!

He seems no worse for the experience! He is playing with Beau now! Go figure... he gave me a huge scare last night!

Yes, it was totally gross! I apologized to the vet tech since I had to gross him out so early in the morning!

To add insult to injury...
I had groomed him and cleaned his tearing eye when the doorbell rang. Got back to the family room and he had urinated on the floor! As if that was not bad enough... he ran and slipped in the pee puddle and fell on his side! Needless to say, I had to take him in the backyard and hose him off!

Geez, is this little guy ever a lot of work!!!

I shouldn't laugh - I know I shouldn't laugh - but I remember thinking the very same thing about Skylar. Spirit was such an easy puppy and did absolutely nothing wrong. She was my first puppy and I remember wondering why people thought puppies were so much work. And then I brought Skylar home.....
