There will be another court hearing... I'd like to go to it if possible... I imagine that it's recent enough, he will definitely remember... he remembered the white dog during our hearing and was not impressed the owner was back. These owners are not afraid of her or her boyfriend and are definitely filing another complaint. The local PD I am hoping will be more involved this time. We know the officer who caught this call so we'll be kept in the loop even though we are out of town. I'd have to read the law, but man I have a hard time envisioning reckless endangerment not being applicable this time.
 
It does explain why many NY municipalities have passed their own laws.
I can't imagine not pursuing legal recourse after an attack if the owners don't do the right thing both financially and with respect to the dog. *smh*

Arizona's "Fabian's Law" is very pro-victim be it person or animal.

Sadly it could take a kid getting injured (or adult). Based on the descriptions the dog is a tragedy in the making. Sure we ALL value our Shelties but can you even imagine having this within a light year of your small child? Hopefully none of the above come to being though.
 
I agree that it is likely to escalate to small children at some point - but before that happens, a dog may be so severly attacked that it does not survive the injuries. And what if another innocent bystander is injuried trying to stop the fight ??

Watson's attack was horrific, but at least he is healing. And so are his people.

We have been told that they have killed a dog... again small town folks afraid to file a complaint..

Her own pictures and posts show at least one of these dogs exhibiting guarding behavior directed toward her with regard to one of her kids... growling and not letting her pick him up to put him to bed.

We're hearing that there might be a date for the dogs' euthanasia, but I've not heard there was a court date/order or warrant, so unless it's voluntary, which I doubt, I'm taking that with a grain of salt. One of the other two is home but apparently not doing so hot.:(

I feel sad for all of the dogs involved, including the two attackers.
 
Resurrecting this thread to let everyone know that we just left the vet's office and that was our last appointment for this ordeal!!!:biggrin2:
