Weird pattern

Edan's had weird digestive issues since January. ANYTHING weird (even something as simple as a small brown and serve turkey breakfast sausage, can result in diarrhea. :( (Yes, Edan has had stool and blood work done. Nothing abnormal there.)

About a month ago, I started giving him DOGZYMES Liquid Dispersible Digestive Enhancer from Nature's Farmacy. It is ONLY for digestion and it has helped. We only have a reaction to things like the afore mentioned sausage instead of dealing with a reaction once every 10 days or less.

It comes with a small scoop that measures 1/4 teaspoon. Currently Edan's getting 1/4 teaspoon with every meal. (Yes, it can be given multiple times a day safely.)

I don't feed supplements myself, but yogurt is very good for the digestive system. I personally love astro biobest plain.

I'm not sure, but I don't think you should give supplements till they're over a year old at least.

I also wouldn't introduce anything new until you get to the bottom of what is causing this. After checking for parasites, etc. you might need to try an elimination diet to see what's causing it. Go to boiled chicken and rice, and gradually start re-introducing his other foods. When the poop gets nasty again, you've found your culprit
 
Take some of the runny poo and bring it in to be tested for coccida. Ember had coccida is a puppy from eating rabbit poo and she only have diarrhea every 4 or 5 days and only at the very end of the movement.
 
The vet ruled out any infection or parasite. Which is good, but now we're back to the idea of figuring out what food is causing it. Instead of going straight to chicken and rice, we're going to remove foods we're feeding one at a time. This week, no Wellness treats. If no improvement, no Flossies, etc...
 
So we've cut out Wellness treats entirely for Lexi, and she was having normal poop again (yay!) for about 4 days. We even had our first agility class where she got some cat food and EZ cheese with no problems.

Yesterday we gave her a few tiny pieces of chicken (maybe 15-20 pieces half the size of my finger nail) and she had bad diarrhea again this morning.

I thought boiled chicken was supposed to be easy on their stomach?

Any recommendations for treats that are fairly high reward that we can give a good amount of that are good for sensitive stomachs? I thought about trying cheese, but am open to other ideas.

Or, is it not the chicken? Just seems very odd. The only other thing I can think of is that in the past 2 days she has gotten her rawhide a few times. But I think that would show up sooner.
 
I use turkey hot dogs. Even with new treats, you have to gradually introduce them to it. So, the first day, give her 5 pieces and see how she does and then increase a little each day.

Some dogs can be sensitive to poultry. My parent's sheltie Milo gets diarrhea if he's given a small piece of chicken or turkey. He's fine as long as he sticks to dog food.

See how he does without any chicken. If he gets diarrhea again, then start eliminating things from his diet one at a time.

I usually feed mine chicken hot dogs for treats, so what about regular hot dogs? Plain ground beef instead of boiled chicken is also easier on the stomach and may help with the diarrhea.

Bailey had diarrhea when she was on just plan chicken and rice. I have eliminated chicken from her diet and she hasn't had an issue since. Do the wellness treats have chicken in them too?

You can try hamburger and rice. That might be easier on her stomach, if she is having an issues with chicken.
 
When our dog was in kidney failure, we fed her Cheerios as treats. And to make them interesting, we would put them in a bag with a piece of liver. The liver smell got into the Cheerios, and she thought they were awesome treats.

And honey nut Cheerios are slightly sticky, which will encourage most dogs. We used these when starting out with Pierre because he turned up his little short nose at everything else. No potty issues here.
