So happy for you both...I wondered where you had been and here your dream has come true !! He is VERY sweet looking. Chauncey is a cool name. Enjoy your new friend and post lotso pictures and stories.

I think Chauncey was worth the wait! He looks like a nice, mellow dog in the picture. Very handsome, too :smile2: It can take a little time for a rescue to relax & learn the routine at their new forever home, so give him a little while to get his eating habits settled. I would try the suggestion of hand feeding a bit then transition to his bowl. Also true Shelties are so smart, they'll eat treats all day if you let them & nothing else.

I'm also happy to read that your companion is falling for him too! Shelties can convert anyone to dog ownership given the chance. Cute that you're the chauffeur now, driving a gent & his Sheltie around :biggrin2: "Driver, take us to the ice cream parlor next and they better have Frosty Paws too" said with a drawl lol. Give him a big hug from me.

I really like the name Chauncey! Congrats on finding your new baby, I'm sure he was worth the journey to get to this point. :smile2:
 
He looks like such a sweet, gentle pup. Congrats! I think all of the names you're considering are great... my favorite two are Chauncey and Simon. Looking forward to more stories (and pix) of your new furry friend!
