What breed would complement an active Sheltie?

Really? And how is this different from any other pure bred out there......We are seeing this in ALL breeds......Shelties too. And I'm not talking about designer dogs....I'm talking about registered breeds.

I just can't stand by and say that Shelties are better because.....because they are not. They have their own health issues too.

I was just answering a question as to what would be a good fit.....I find poodles super smart and super adaptable and very trainable.

Another Sheltie with a calmer temperament would be an ideal fit, but I'm nervous about creating more drama in the house. The poor cat can hardly keep up with one Sheltie, let alone two.

But I do appreciate all your responses.
 
We had a cat for 13 years and he loved our shelties- he was a kitten with our first sheltie then cam Maggie- those two really got along well. It was such fun to watch them play.

My little boys best friend is a King Charles; they get along GREAT! :razz:
 
how about a Papillon?
very energetic but small in size. very smart.
will look gorgeous with a sheltie side by side.
however they tend to have problems with patella luxation...
