I ordered mine, am excited because applying collar is much better than topical for Che. And I am already proofing them with adding essential oils to their shampoos and moisturizers.

we use the scalibor collar against ticks.
I don't like things that you have to put on your dog, which gets under its skin, because you can't remove it, if the dog has a problem with it.

there are also shelties that have problems with the scalibor collar, but you can remove it and the next day its over.

with fleas we don't have any problems and I think the scalibor collar isn't made for that. but for example it's also for sandflies which you can find in mediterranean sea areas.

Which collar did you order? The Preventic Collar?

Haven't seen anymore ticks since they were dropping off the dogs dead last weekend. Then again its rained literally all week. The big test will be Saturday when I bring the pups for a hike. So far I'm really pleased with the Preventic collar. :smile2:

We use Frontline Plus. It has always worked for us and is cheap to use. Yes cheap the way I do it. I buy the large dose package (for higher weight dogs). Then put it in a vial with a rubber lid. I dose it out with a syringe (no needle) at the rate that is recommended. I can make a single package last a year with our dogs. This year we have had a big problem with ticks until I got Chase on it, now we’re all clear.

What about the new "identical to frontline" stuff Wal-Mart has now? I keep wanting to get some, but they are always sold out!
