Which side of the bed?

Okay, seriously...
Who does NOT let their Sheltie sleep on the bed...
and for the most of us who DO... which side of the bed have they claimed? lol

I had started crate training and with the greatest intention to NOT let this dog sleep in bed with me, since I was holding out on hoping that I may have a date or something down the road???

But after a few months of this foolishness, I think the best place for Toffee to sleep is on my pillow in a tight little sheltie ball, with spooning, head resting on my arm and me cuddling him...
He will ONLY sleep on the outside, LOL makes it hard to reach the snooze button I tell ya

My dogs all sleep on the left side. That is the side away from the alarm clock. :smile2:

Justice by my head/shoudler with his head on the pillow. Diva has been allowed on the bed in the last month, and she has claimed the middle. Ember is at the foot. Sometimes Em sleep between my feet. It never varies.

Maddie sleeps in bed with me, by my feet on my right side. Sometimes she will sleep between my feet, but I'm such a fussy sleeper I don't like being "laid on" at all. I used to make her sleep in my daughter's room, but after 4 months of nightly barking, I finally stopped forcing her and just let her be with me.

Bentley sleeps at the foot of the bed...but has to be touch at least me or my fiance just a bit. He's not much of a cuddler, so this works perfectly for him.

I just don't know what we're going to do when we get another one.

Is it time for a king size bed? :yes:

No bed for Sca. Right now he is in the carrier with the hope he can sleep anywhere that is not furniture later. Right now though the odds of him getting into something at night would be 100%. He is very interested in shoe laces and my wool slippers right now so I could easily awake to no shoes with laces for work

When Smudge was sleeping in the same bed with me he got the right side, down by my feet. Then, of course, when he wanted out he'd stand on my face. :rolleyes2:

Bailey mainly sleeps in her crate. I do want her to sleep on my bed all night but because of her UTI she has peed on me bed

I now let her sleep with me for an hour or two before I have to get up for work. I'll gradually let her sleep with me longer and longer. I'm also not sure if she'll wake up in the middle of the night and chew something.

She sleeps between my feet or on my legs. She likes to use my legs as a pillow.

Meggie slept in her crate until she was about 8 months old. I'm with you, I was afraid she'd get into something she should not. But now she sleeps in the bed, at the foot of the bed to my left. She is not a cuddler at all, but she does usually touch my leg or foot in some way.

Panda, my tuxedo cat (RIP) used to sleep right up next to me and put his little paw on my arm as if he was holding my hand. I miss him so much!

Sadie usually sleeps in her bed at the foot of our bed. I do allow her to sleep with us 1-2 times a week and her desired location is at my feet. DH moves around too much and kicks her in his sleep I think.

Ginny will not be allowed to sleep on our bed till she is older. Sadie as a pup vomited on our bed several times and we've learned our lesson. Ginny is also far to squirmy at her age to sleep with us. Plus she can't be near Sadie without trying to play with her :smile2:

If I let Trapp stay on the bed with us,he would be perfectly so happy. He started coming in the bedroom when I was in there watching a tv program,sitting looking pathetic,cause he could'nt jump up.So I lifted him,and he would cuddle right in beside a pillow.

I let him be until 10 or so,he'll go potty,then go right in his crate and sleep with not a peep.

I'm sure in the months ahead,he will do just fine if I decided to leave him in the bed with us.Since all of a sudden in the last week,he has started sleeping all night. My biggest fear is that he would fall off the bed.

And he has started asking to go potty during the day. So the word "potty" now has meaning to him. The only down fall is that he is looking for Earnhardt to go out every time with him. And he goes..probably not wanting to,but he goes out.
