Which side of the bed?

Bentley sleeps at the foot of the bed...but has to be touch at least me or my fiance just a bit. He's not much of a cuddler, so this works perfectly for him.

I just don't know what we're going to do when we get another one.

Is it time for a king size bed?

The bell household has been debating the benefit vrs cost of a king sized bed. It'd have to be a California King as I'm 6'4" and like to spread out. i might make it a valentines present for my Lady..

Edan either curls up between DH and me or lays on top of me until about 5 or 10 minutes after the light is turned off then he jumps down to the floor. The length of time he stays in bed depends on how cold it is outside. In the summer, for-get-it, he wants no part of the bed.

Now, when only one of us is sleeping, he'll curl up somewhere on the vacant side. Heck, when DH's fire pager goes off in the middle of the night (he's a volunteer firefighter), he's barely out the bedroom door before Edan's in his spot.

When the alarm clock goes off in the morning, he'll jump back in bed and snuggle with the two of us until its time to get up.

Bailey sleeps in her bed or her crate or on the floor. Sometimes she'll jump on my bed for a few minutes, but then will go to her bed or the floor. I think if I had a bigger bed, she would lay with me.

None of my dogs are allowed in the bed. Dyaln the sheltie sleeps on his bed in the x-pen. Daisy the maltese sleeps in her crate. I have cats who sleeps in our bed and they won't be able to if I let the dogs in the bed. Also I keep a liter box as well as a cat food in the bedroom. If I let my dogs lose, they will be eating everything including kitty poo for sure:dead:.

We do also.As with Bumper, and being blind,it is the way it has been since we brought her home. Her food is also right there.

We only had 1 time that Trapp gobbled all her food. And it was when we first got him home.I know he had an upset belly, did'nt get sick, but he was very restless that night. It was the only time.
He has sniffed her litter box.But it is scooped at the minimum 3x a day,so there really is nothing in there for him to yomp on...YEEEEW.:dead:

Two days ago..Mr.Jasper discovered the litter & food,he yomped on food.I waited for him to make a move again in the bedroom towards the litter.I just followed him. When he made a move towards the food dish,I said in a very stern voice "NO" and redirected him.I must have said "no" 4x,before he got the hint.

I refuse to use a baby gate.As this will either block Bumpers access to her stuff, and another reason is that blind cats will not navigate going over a gate.
Because of fear of not knowing what is on the other side.

Poor Bumpers!
Good luck with teaching Mr Jasper...............
I have the litter and cat food etc in bathroom. which is off limit to Toffee unless I carry him in (for bath and grooming on the dryer, lol)
FUNNY thing I THOUGHT he wouldn't go in, but MisterMister has discovered the sneaky way.. aka as soon as he knows I have gone to work, or something like that, he steals into the bathroom, and I caught him numerous times now!
So he's not into the kitteh poop, thank god, and I put catfood on ledge...
Shelties are Smart devils, and I think Mr Jasper is gonna be your handful, LOL

Well I do see distinct differances in him versus Trapp. He's quieter than Trapp especially when its crate time.Trapp would bark if he needed out, whereas Jasper does a very low whimper, almost so quiet. And Jasper sleeps all night, which Trapp did not for quite a bit.

As far as being mischivious..Jasper take the award for sure. He's very sneaky. He does not respong to "ah-ah"...when I correct him.I get the attitude..WHAT YOU TALKING TO ME?:eek2:
