How to keep a sheltie off the furniture?

Lilly is queen of the couch and is welcome on it. I like having a snuggle buddy to chill while I'm websurfing or watching tv. Lilly also gets super excited when it's bedtime and bounces around like a nut for a few minutes, even all over my boyfriend. Fortunately he doesn't mind too much. He...

    Sheltie Pants!

As weird as it sounds, my favorite product right now is actually Pink! My breeder recommended it to me because it's how she keeps her black dogs so black and coats looking great. Pink is an ethnic hair product that you can get anywhere like Walmart, Target or Sally's Beauty. When I got Lilly ((a...

    Lottie's first grooming

Sweet Lottie looks absolutely stunning! So glad to hear that she was a good girl for the groomer.

Lilly is coming out of her shell!

I think it terrible that the one treat she goes bonkers for is the one that grosses me out the most. I surely wouldn't use balogna as treats for the border collies or any other dogs who were already chow hounds but when I first got Lilly she needed a "good reason" to try for me and to trust and...

    Show dog ... companion dog

My Lilly was a kennel dog and I was doing exactly what Janet suggested when I got her. The first week or so my boyfriend kept asking why I got such a "freakazoid" dog but it didn't take her too long to get used to our home and routines and really turn herself into the perfect family pet. Time...

    Where's my coat?!

My Lilly is 16 months right now and her coat looks like it's in the same state as your handsome man's! I can't wait for that gorgeous adult coat to come in. I love the massive amounts of hair!

    good frisbee?

I'm another fan of the Hyperflite Jawz discs. One of my old Aussies had a "gator mouth" and would put holes in everything. The Jawz discs are my favorites and whenever the edges get a bit rough I hit them with a dremel and smooth it out again. Hope Gage snaps out of his mood soon!

    Trialing in a horse arena

My "local" trials are held under one of two nearby covered horse arenas and it's STILL hot and miserable. Actually, it's not the heat that it so bad, it's the humidity. You can't escape that. It is nice that the sun won't be beating down on you but I know at our trials we still bake. We keep...

    Greetings from northwest Florida!

Lilly is indeed tiny. She's 13 and a quarter inches. Probably weights about 15 pounds and is actually pudgy for her size and is on a diet. Not that she eats much anyways! I'm so used to feeding Aussies and borders... One meal for them is more food than little bitty Lilly needs in a day, even...

    Greetings from northwest Florida!

Yep, I'm in the panhandle, near Pensacola. :) I haven't figured out how to post pics yet, but I have two links to images in my photobucket. They were taken Tuesday at work after I bathed her. I just got her on Saturday and she is already Queen of the Couch...

    Greetings from northwest Florida!

Hello, I'm Kris! I've just joined and hope to be really active in forum discussion. I've been training dogs for 12 years or so now. I've competed in agility, conformation and obedience over the years. I've owned Aussies and border over the years with my family but now I'm in my own place with my...
